Otoyo ranks 1735th out of 1741 towns and villages across Japan in terms of income level according to the Ministry of Internal Communications. We are one of the poorest towns in Japan. By attracting tourism to this town, we can create a sustainable economy by injecting cash from tourism spending, create jobs and improve the standard of living for the locals.
